The Makarov PM is a sidearm that takes eight 9×18mm cartridges in a Makarov Mag. or MakarovSD Mag. in DayZ.
The Makarov PM's cartridges deal moderate damage of 1389 Blood, have low recoil, and when fired, have an audible range to zombies of up to 52.8 meters from the shooter's position. The effective range of this weapon is 50 meters.
The Makarov PM can kill a player in up to four shots to the body, or one shot to the head, as can all weapons and ammunition in DayZ. It can kill a zombie in up to four shots to the body.
The Makarov PM is an uncommon sidearm that has a 1.90% chance of spawning in Residential loot piles and a 1.18% of spawning in Supermarkets. This is equal to 19 out of 1000 and 59 out of 5000.
