Fortifications[]
There are several types of fortifications that were introduced into DayZ Origins since version 1.7.7.
Wooden Fence[]
A wooden fence.
The Wooden Fence is a fortification that can be driven through and destroyed or cut down with a hatchet. If the fence is destroyed by a vehicle it will respawn at restart but if it is cut down with a hatchet it will not respawn.
Building Requirements:
- 2x Short Planks
- 1x Hatchet
Reinforced Fence[]
A reinforced fence.
The Reinforced Fence provides substantial protection but is able to be destroyed.
Building Requirements:
- 2x Short Planks
- 1x Hatchet
- 1x Reinforcing Material
Reinforced Mud/Dirt Fence[]
A reinforced mud/dirt fence.
This fortification is indestructible and provides excellent protection. However, it is difficult to build as it requires the excavator to build.
Building Requirements:
- 2x Reinforcing Materials
- Can only be built while operating the excavator
Upgraded Reinforced Mud/Dirt Fence[]
An upgraded reinforced mud/dirt fence.
Any Reinforced Mud/Dirt Fences can be upgraded. When upgraded the fortification produces a ladder to climb up to a small shielded lookout.
Building Requirements:
- 2x Bags of Cement
- 2x Reinforcing Materials
- 3x Long Planks
- 1x Screws
- Can only be built from upgrading an existing Reinforced Mud/Dirt Fence
Reinforced Gate[]
A reinforced gate provides access for you and your friends to your gated area.
A reinforced gate.
Building Requirements:
- 2x Reinforcing Material
- 2x Short Planks
- 1x Battery
- 1x Code Lock
- Can only be built while operating the excavator
Upgraded Reinforced Gate[]
Any reinforced gate can be upgraded. When upgraded the fortification extends in height equal to the upgraded mud fences and has a small door for persons.
Tools Required:
- Old Hammer
- Old Pliers
Building Requirements:
- 3x Reinforcing Material
- 4x Cement Bag
- 3x Metal Supports
- 2x Screws
- Can only be built from upgrading an existing gate
